1. Please introduce yourself.
My name is Aneta Kowalczyk and I’ve been a photographer for a few years. I studied international relations but then I just realized it’s photography what I really loved and what to do. I started to learn how to take photos, step by step, on my own. I love portrait and fashion photography that’s why I’ve been shooting this kind of photography.
2. Your Camera brand, lens spec? Computer platform: PC/Mac? CPU? RAM?
I used to work with canon 5D, but some time ago I bought Nikon D3 and I fell in love with this camera. The same with a computer – I betrayed pc to Mac
3. Which 2D software is your master tool to retouch photos and make creative image? Please tell us why you choose this software?
I use Photoshop, I think it’s well-structured, easy to handle and contains all I need for post processing.
4. How to be a good photographer? Tell us some suggestions?
Well, I think there is no recipe for that, you just have to feel and love it. You should take photos the way you see it, not the way others do or want. Work hard to improve your skills. When I look at my old photos I can see so many mistakes I used to do. I wouldn’t notice that if I didn’t work hard to improve my skills.
5. What are your sources of inspiration?
Mostly magazines and the internet. I have some favourite photographers like Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi or Helmut Newton, but I also love searching the net to find photos of not famous photographers. There are great inspirations to me.
6. How to create a great photo has a strong unique style ?
Is it a question to me? Haha. Ok, well… when I take photos I try to pay attention to the model, the way she looks, shows emotions, plays. As I always say, model’s eyes and gestures play very important role to me while shooting; they have to say anything to people when they look at the photo. Even if it is just a simple portrait I try to catch a unique moment, look and emotions.
